POMPANO BEACH, FL. (www.newvibesmusic.com) - Pompano Beach, FL (New Vibes Music Press) July 28, 2005 -- New Vibes Music announced today that it has just released on iTunes "Vacuuming the Forest," the latest album by internationally acclaimed New Age composer and interpreter Amilcar.

"Vacuuming the Forest" is part of Amilcar's latest project, a series of recordings dedicated to nature, peace and relaxation. Most of every track of the album contains very subtle samples of original recordings of "mother nature sounds" wind, water, birds and crickets from different places around the world and is intended to inspire and relax its listeners. Showing that the music is more important than the money, Amilcar shares a portion of the sales to the Covenant House Florida, a shelter for runaway and homeless children.

Amilcar personally recorded the nature sounds heard on "Vacuuming the Forest" at different locations around the globe, from sub-tropical Periwinkle and Cardinal birds and cicadas in Florida to South American crickets, from Japanese shishi-odoshi fountains to crickets in the deep forest in the south of France. "It is as if my portable digital recorder had created a vacuum to capture for posterity sounds of certain species," he explains. "Sounds of nature really surround us all the time, but we tend to ignore them as we are pre-occupied with the stress of daily life."

"On VACUUMING THE FOREST, I didn't want to overwhelm the listener with sounds of nature, but rather give a gentle hint or reminder that Mother Earth is around us, always," he shares. "My music is all about tuning back into nature, and achieving a balance of organic and man-made sounds throughout each of the melodies. This album takes the listener away to a journey into a beautiful forest filled with enticing music and natural ambience."
