TropiSounds/Codiscos record label was the big 'Congo de Oro' winner at the Carnaval de Barranquilla with three artists from its roster receiving the prestigious award.

And finally, one of ther most awaited artistsat the carnival was Maelo Ruiz, one of Barranquilla's favorite artists, received the third prize Congo de Oro in the salsa category. He also received the gold album award in Colombia with his album Tiempos de Amor.
