CALGARY, Alberta, Canada (www.innersurge.com) - Canadian metal & punk band Inner Surge has posted a preview of it's 3 latest tracks online at www.innersurge.com. The new music is quite a departure for the band, and represents a heavier, more mature sound. The 1st track "The Outcome" is a melodic song with an explosive ending, while "Welcome ot the 5th World" is fast and aggressive from start to finish, showing the bands old school metal as well as hardcore and punk influences. "Retribution Song" is a punk metal anthem that reminds the listener of Rage against the Machine, Killswitch Engage and Refused. The mp3's are available for free download.

Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, the band has is still garnering top review for it's latest full length CD "Matrika". Punkcanada.net gave the CD an 8.7/10 review, describing it as "Probably one of the most original and creatively different albums you're likely to hear come out of Calgary, or most of Canada."

Musically, the band differs from many other Canadian rock bands, as they blend metal, hardcore, punk, alternative, industrial and electronic influences to form a complete sound, without coming across as overly progressive. The band is setting it's sights on major label attention in 2005, and will continue to promote "Matrika" and work on the new as yet untitled record for the remainder of 2004. More news to come.
