LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Warner Bros. Records) - Reprise Records' Green Day have swept Rolling Stone magazine's decade-end Readers' Poll, taking top honors in three categories including being voted the No. 1 Artist of the Decade, beating out Radiohead, U2, Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, Jay-Z, and many others. This year's poll was conducted on Rollingstone.com. The magazine's readers also chose Green Day's Grammy Award-winning 2004 album American Idiot the No. 1 Best Album, and named its single 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' the No. 1 Song.

Additionally, Green Day's current album 21st Century Breakdown came in at No. 5 on the editors' list of the Top Ten Best Albums of 2009. Recently, the band has won an American Music Award, a 2009 MTV Europe Music Award, been nominated for a People's Choice Award, and scored three 2010 Grammy Award nominations, including one for 'Best Rock Album' and two for the single '21 Guns,' which won three 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Green Day is 2009's No. 1 artist at both Alternative and all Rock radio formats combined, including spins of current and recurrent catalog songs, according to Mediabase's Year to Date charts.

The band is currently on tour in Australia and New Zealand and will perform on NBC's New Year's Eve With Carson Daly on December 31st.
