Sydney, AU. (EMI MUSIC Entertainment) - For many metal fans it was a dream come true last night at the Sydney Superdome, with thousands dressed in black making their way out to Homebush for a night of 10 Years, Hatebreed, Disturbed and Korn. Arriving just after Hatebreed had finished their set, the Superdome was packed, and it was still 2 hours before the headliners KoRn were due to come on stage, that's dedication.

More and more people filed in, and the pit was starting to get a real buzz about it, then Disturbed exploded out of the gates with a powerful set which included 'Stupify', 'The Sickness', and a cover of the Phil Collins classic 'Land Of Confusion'. A wonderful warm up for what was still to come...

I made it down in anticipation for the start of the first of three songs that we were allowed to take happy snaps of, with the Mexican wave in full flight around the dome. The lights dimmed, the microphone stand unmasked, and it was show time!

KoRn rocked out a show to over 12 thousand screaming metal maniacs; they played some old, some new and medley of some of their "greatest hits". It was a full on show with an 8 piece band head banging their way through it all!

The night ended perfectly for long-time fans of the band as they come on to encore with the first single of the new album 'Twisted Transistor', 'Freak On A Leash' and the song that started it all... 'Blind'.

As we made our way out of the venue, with the musty odour of sweat stringing through the air, past the merch desk where people were buying replacement shirts for the sweaty ones no longer on their backs, it was hard to see a disappointed face anyway, and that's all you can ask for.
Until next time...
