LATROBE, PA. (Rolling Rock) - Rolling Rock's getting ready to rock Westmoreland Fairgrounds for its fifth anniversary and VELVET REVOLVER will be center stage to shake it up. Not only is the country's most anticipated one day music festival going back home to its Latrobe, PA roots on Saturday, July 31, but Rolling Rock Town Fair marks the first time VELVET REVOLVER headlines a major festival. Tickets are $49 for wall-to-wall rock.

VELVET REVOLVER brings together charismatic frontman Scott Weiland, formerly of Stone Temple Pilots, as well as guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum from Guns N' Roses with guitarist Dave Kushner of ex-Wasted Youth, Electric Love Hogs and Dave Navarro's band, among others.

VELVET REVOLVER has embarked on their first-ever tour promoting the release of their debut album CONTRABAND (RCA). "Slither," the album's first single, exploded at radio in its first week of release, airing on over 130 stations.

Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com, RollingRock.com and by calling 1-877-9LATROBE. On-site parking for the show can be purchased through Ticketmaster for $5. Gates open at 9 A.M.
To celebrate an impressive fifth year on the concert scene, Rolling Rock shared the love with some of its top cities by bringing a "travel-sized" version of its hugely popular Rolling Rock Town Fair, chock-full of smashing, alternative rock. The regional Rolling Rock Town Fair featured cities' local flavor bands, in addition to big name bands. The circuit started in Boston on June 12 with Sevendust, Finch, Three Days Grace, Thornley and Boston's own Throe; Then it headed to Philadelphia on June 19 with Sevendust, Finch, Finger Eleven, Three Days Grace and Philly's own Octane; and it cruised to Seattle on June 26 with Sevendust, Finch, Finger Eleven and The Jet City Fix. The show crescendos in its nostalgic hometown - Westmoreland Fairgrounds - for an all day dose of music and the true Rolling Rock Town Fair vibe.
Rolling Rock Town Fair has been a smashing success since it first rocked Latrobe in 2000. Rolling Rock brand executives attribute the concert's popularity to the enthusiasm of its loyal fans and its heavy hitting line-up of bands, which in the past have included: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Moby, Stone Temple Pilots, Incubus, Deftones, Live, Fuel, Outkast, Nickelback, POD, Blink 182, Puddle of Mudd, Tommy Lee, Godsmack, Def Leppard, 311, Sum 41, Trapt and many more.
Rolling Rock brewed in Latrobe, PA since 1939 is one of America's finest high-quality lagers. Its longneck green bottle and painted label including horse head, steeplechase, pledge of quality and mysterious "33", capture the proud brewing heritage of Latrobe Brewing Company. Today, Rolling Rock is the No 2 domestic specialty beer in the U.S. according to Nielsen and is the official beer and a founding partner of Heinz Field, the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
