Statement By The Honourable James Moore, Minister Of Canadian Heritage And Official Languages, On The Induction Of Rush Into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
Ottawa (Top40 Charts / Canadian Heritage) Canadian rock trio Rush will reach a career milestone tonight when the influential group will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Toronto natives Geddy Lee , Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart have achieved critical success throughout their 40-year careers, and they continue to electrify fans across the globe today.

For more than 25 years, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has recognized and celebrated the best and brightest in music. Rush is now joining other distinguished Canadians who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame for their achievements and significant contributions to the evolution of rock and roll.

Rush is yet another example of how Canada is home to a wealth of talented artists and creators who enrich our cultural lives and stimulate our nation's economy.

On behalf of the Government of Canada, I would like to commend Geddy Lee , Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart on their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
