Thula Borah's Latest Offering Is Sure To Not Disappoint: 'Hope For Disappointment' EP Featuring Lead Track 'Bone Ships'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Hope for Dis AW EP -1.jpgThula Borah is a dynamic collective of musicians with an expansive sound and a taste for ambience. Lloyd, Matt, Kev and Michael hail from Glasgow, Inverness and Johannesburg which gives there music a rich blend of different outlooks and cultures. Influenced by the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, Mogwai, Radiohead and Sigur Ros, Thula Borah create their own form of brooding ambient rock that transports you to a dream world you never want to leave.
Thula Borah manage to excel in both the studio and on the stage, playing the legendary King Tuts Wah Wah Hut and heading out on tour in 2013 with a string of sold out dates.

The band have been featured by Fat Cat Records Channel 4 The Daily Record, Holly Oaks and Kerrang and have had radio play on Radio 4, Radio 1, which is testament to their wide ranging appeal. Described as 'A slow burning rock beauty' and 'haunting and hypnotic' Thula Borah are set to make a massive impact both regionally and nationally.

With two members of the band being stand up comedians there is a certain humorous quality to their latest offering, a balance of light and dark which makes for a powerful idea conceptually. There is a thread running through the release, the feeling of anger at certain aspects of the modern world with nostalgia for childhood innocence which makes for a very concise and mature record from the Scottish foursome. Listen here:

The band is named after an Indian recluse who went to his bedroom to study for exams in 1962 and has not emerged since. There is no such thing as reclusively with these fine fellows who are ready to drop their incredible EP 'Hope for Disappointment' on October 16th.
