NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Sony BMG Legacy) - With the new romantic comedy/drama Catch and Release, starring Jennifer Garner, set for nationwide release on January 26th, moviegoers will be captivated by the 17-song soundtrack that perfectly evokes the heartfelt emotions and bittersweet comedy of the film. Catch and Release: Music from the Motion Picture features '90s and '00s tracks by established bands (Paul Westerberg, Death Cab For Cutie, Foo Fighters, The Lemonheads), major alternative darlings (Gomez, Doves, The Magic Numbers, Joshua Radin), under-the-radar indies (Blinker the Star, New Radiant Storm King, Audible, Peter MacLaggan, Alaska!), and more. The new album will arrive in stores January 23rd on Legacy/Sony Music Soundtrax, a division of SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT.

Jennifer Garner stars in Columbia Pictures' romantic comedy-drama Catch and Release, from writer-director Susannah Grant, an Academy Award nominee for her screenplay for Erin Brockovich. After the sudden death of her fiance, Gray Wheeler (Garner) finds comfort in the company of his friends: lighthearted and comic Sam (Kevin Smith), hyper-responsible Dennis (Sam Jaeger), and, oddly enough, his old childhood buddy Fritz (Timothy Olyphant), an irresponsible playboy whom she'd previously pegged as one of the least reliable people in the world. As secrets about her supposedly perfect fiance emerge, Gray comes to see new sides of the man she thought she knew, and at the same time, finds herself drawn to the last man she ever expected to fall for.
