New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ ASCAP) ASCAP (the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) is pleased to announce its lineup of events for the 2012 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Returning for the 14th year, the Sundance ASCAP Music Café will present an exciting and dynamic mix of composers, songwriters and artists from across the musical spectrum and around the world. In addition, this year an invitation-only ASCAP Composer-Filmmaker Cocktail Party will take place January 24th, providing a fantastic opportunity for filmmakers and music creators to connect in a warm and intimate setting.

"Now in our 14th year, ASCAP is delighted to continue this very successful partnership with the Sundance Film Festival, with whom we mutually share the mission of discovering and cultivating great talent," said Sundance ASCAP Music Café producer Loretta Muñoz, ASCAP Assistant Vice President. "We are excited to present this year's Music Café artists to the Sundance Film Festival with eight days of incredible music. Our Music Café is loved for the great performances in this beautiful and intimate setting. It is the perfect place for filmmakers to connect with composers, songwriters and artists, fostering new relationships between the music and film communities."

The Sundance ASCAP Music Café will be located at Rich Haines Gallery (751 Main Street, Park City, UT). It is open to Festival credential holders from January 20th to 27th, 2012. Performances begin each day at 2:00 p.m. The featured performers include: A Fine Frenzy, The All-American Rejects, Erin Barra, Terence Etc, Bailey Cooke, Jeremy Current, Flying Lotus, John Forté and Friends (featuring Natasha Bedingfield, Ben Taylor and Sergey), David Gray, Lisa Hannigan, Garland Jeffreys, Jenny O., Josh Kelley, Dayna Kurtz, Greg Laswell, James McCartney, Ingrid Michaelson, David Nail, The Two, Chris Velan, We Are Augustines and Mike Viola & Ryan Miller. The 2012 Festival includes many films that prominently feature the music of ASCAP's composer and songwriter members. Sundance ASCAP Music Café
The Sundance ASCAP Music Café is the focal point for music at the Festival. It is dedicated to showcasing the exceptional talent of emerging and established artists, including solo acts and major bands, and is a place where independent filmmakers can meet and interact with composers and songwriters to encourage collaboration between these two creative communities. This year's program features eight days of stellar programming, presenting songwriters and composers associated with Festival films along with other legendary and cutting-edge artists.

The ASCAP Composer-Filmmaker Cocktail Party
On the evening of January 24th, ASCAP will host the ASCAP Composer-Filmmaker Cocktail Party. This is an invite-only, after-show celebration held at the Sundance ASCAP Music Café. This private event is for Festival filmmakers, ASCAP film composers, ASCAP Music Café artists and music supervisors.
