Synopsis
In this seriously funny comedy about the power of romantic destiny, Joel (Jim Carrey) is stunned to discover that his girlfriend Clementine (Kate Winslet) has had their tumultuous relationship erased from her mind. Out of desperation, he contacts the inventor of the process, Dr. Howard Mierzwiak (Tom Wilkinson), to get the same treatment. But as his memories of Clementine are extinguished one by one, he realizes how much he still loves her. Trying to save some shred of their past together from destruction, Joel leads the doctor and his crew (Kirsten Dunst, Mark Ruffalo and Elijah Wood) on a wild chase through the maze of his subconscious mind. It soon becomes clear that Joel just can't get Clementine out of his mind.
