Chronicling the rise to superstardom of legendary American music icon, Johnny Cash, Walk The Line takes center stage on DVD February 28, 2006 from Fox Home Entertainment. Featuring show-stopping performances by Joaquin Phoenix (Gladiator) as the rebellious man in black and Reese Witherspoon (Vanity Fair) as lifelong-love and savior June Carter, the film is the winner of three Golden Globes (Best Actor and Best Actress Musical/Comedy, and Best Picture Musical/Comedy) and is nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Actor (Phoenix) and Best Actress (Witherspoon). Walk The Line arrives on DVD in three editions: a single disc widescreen and full screen version, as well as a limited edition two-disc set loaded with additional bonus features and collectibles. All three versions feature the theatrical feature film with running commentary by Director and Sundance Film Festival winner James Mangold(a) (Girl, Interrupted), ten deleted scenes, and the original theatrical trailer, while the limited edition two-disc collector's pack additionally features three extended musical sequences, three featurettes and collectible postcards. The single disc widescreen and full screen DVDs will be available to own for a suggested retail price $29.98 US/$43.48 Canada, while the Collector's Edition will be available in widescreen only for the suggested retail price of $39.98 US/$49.98 Canada.
