Malas Releases New LP 'Path To Holocaust'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The death metal band known as Malas (usually stylized MALAS) has released their latest full-length record, "Path to Holocaust." The album is comprised of eight new, original tracks for a total playing time of just over half an hour. It has been released on the Maldito Records music label. A definitive death metal record, it has all of the qualities and attributes popularized by bands who pioneered the subgenre in the late eighties, such as Slayer, Obituary, and Morbid Angel, but combined with a modern edge that breaks from traditions and creates a new legacy for Malas that is all their own.

"Path to Holocaust" by Malas is a shockingly accurate return to the genuine death metal sound of the good-old days, when band tee-shirts marked with bloody pentagrams still terrified people when worn in public, and when bands like Kreator ate heavy metal alive while Metallica slowly became radio friendly. With relentless brutality and lightning speed, Malas' new LP proves that the old formulas still make the most volatile explosives, but without being the slightest bit derivative, cliché, or overwrought. Malas makes death metal seem easy, their guitars blistering, soaring and screaming, their drums rumbling like the harbinger of an erupting volcano.

They cite as main artistic influences the likes of death metal titans such as Sodom, Slayer, Kreator, Celtic Frost, Obituary, Morbid Angel and Devestation, as well as early heavy metal bands like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Motorhead, from which Malas garners their uniquely classic, pared-down tone.

Based in Chicago, IL, Malas is composed of former members of popular 1990s death metal bands, Maldicion and Lord Blasphemer. They have been playing as Malas since 2000 and have recordings going back to 2004. 2005 saw the release of their debut LP record, "Conquest," which was released on the Sempiternal Productions, Utterly Somber Creations and Maldito Records labels respectively, the latter of which belongs to Malas, themselves. Malas has extended thanks to their friends at Utterly Somber Creations, Shaman Records, and Maldito Records in helping to bring "Path to Holocaust" to their clamoring fans around the world.

"Path to Holocaust" by Malas is available online worldwide.

The LP "Path to Holocaust" is distributed globally by MondoTunes (www.MondoTunes.com) and is available at iTunes or www.top40-charts.com for convenient purchase and download.
