NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Nickelodeon) - The Naked Brothers Band heads to "The Big Easy," rolling into New Orleans on their first national rock tour in the new 90-minute TV movie, "Polar Bears," premiering Friday, June 6, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. Climate change is at the forefront of the movie as the band witnesses the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and questions the environment's connection to the catastrophe.
After Alex watches the Oscar-winning documentary "An Inconvenient Truth," the band rallies together to raise money and awareness for the environment and in particular for the polar bears, who stand a chance of extinction.
The heart-warming TV movie also includes the debut of three of the band's latest songs, "I've Got a Question"; "Flying Away," written and performed by Nat Wolff; and "Why," written and performed by Alex Wolff. Two additional songs - "Eventually" and "I'll Do Anything" will also be featured in the episode. Both songs were written and performed by Nat Wolff. The Naked Brothers Band airs regularly on Nickelodeon Saturday nights at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

"'Polar Bears' is a TV movie with heart," said Marjorie Cohn, Executive Vice President Original Programming & Development, Nickelodeon Networks. "What makes this movie stand out beyond all the fun and music that is the trademark of the Naked Brothers Band is that it examines the issues of climate change from a kid's point-of-view and illustrates how kids can make a difference in the world today."

In "Polar Bears", the band's next concert stop is New Orleans. Nat and Alex stay with an old friend of the family and are overjoyed to be reunited with their childhood playmates. But Rosalina is jealous of this new potential "competition" and her complicated feelings for Nat keep her from being honest with him. Qaasim is also upset that he has seemingly lost his magic touch with the ladies, which couldn't come at a worse time as he has a huge crush on Nat's childhood friend. Meanwhile, Alex sees "An Inconvenient Truth" and is determined to take a stand against global warming. He takes it a little too far but his passion is inspiring to everyone and as usual, his charm more than makes up for his overzealousness.

On Tuesday, June 17, fans of the hit series can purchase the "Polar Bears" DVD which will be available to selected retailers across the country. The DVD will include the TV movie along with four music videos - "I've Got a Question," "I'll Do Anything," "Why" and "Eventually." The DVD is produced by Nickelodeon Home Entertainment and distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment.

The Naked Brothers Band "Polar Bears" episode is one of several Nickelodeon series that will incorporate green themes over the next year as part of Nickelodeon's The Big Green Help multiplatform pro-social campaign. Designed to empower kids to take action on the environment through gaming and grassroots activity, The Big Green Help will provide information and tools to help explain climate change to kids, and connect them to energy saving and earth-friendly activities in their everyday lives. Nickelodeon and Columbia Records released The Naked Brothers Band's second album, I Don't Want To Go To School, in April 2008. The album includes 14 original songs from the second season of The Naked Brothers Band TV series, including the first single, "I Don't Want To Go To School." All songs on the album feature music and lyrics written by Nat Wolff, except "Why," "Three Is Enough" and "Changing" which were written by Alex Wolff. I Don't Want To Go To School is produced and arranged by Michael Wolff (Nat and Alex's real-life and television dad) and composer Michael A. Levine ("The Simpsons Movie" and "Bee Movie.")

The series is created, executive produced, written and directed by Polly Draper (thirtysomething) who doubles as off-camera mom to Nat Wolff and Alex Wolff. She was recently nominated for a 2008 Writers Guild Award in the category of Children's Episodic & Specials for the episode titled "Nat is a Stand Up Guy." Celebrated jazz musician/composer Michael Wolff (The Arsenio Hall Show) - the stars' real-life dad and Draper's husband - keeps it all in the family but plays against type as the screen tweens' musically inept father and serves as the series' music supervisor/co-executive producer. Along with Draper, Albie Hecht (The Rugrats Movie, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events) serves as executive producer of the series in association with Nickelodeon Television.

The series is shot on location in Brooklyn, New York and launched internationally in spring 2007 on Nickelodeon UK. The Naked Brother's Band airs on Nickelodeon's 33 channels worldwide with season two rolling out in May 2008 beginning in Australia and New Zealand. The Naked Brothers Band has been nominated for two 2007 Nickelodeon Australia Kids' Choice Awards, a 2007 Nickelodeon UK Kids' Choice Award, and the movie received a nomination for a 2007 Teen Choice Award. Additionally, Nat Wolff, Alex Wolff, and Michael Wolff are all recipients of the BMI 2007 Cable Award.
