The Record Parlour Celebrates The Legacy Of Rick James At First-Eever Vinyl Re-Release Party For 'Street Songs'
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) Last Friday (July 31), THE RECORD PARLOUR-the newest and most distinguished record store to open up in Los Angeles-celebrated a vinyl re-release party forlegendary soul singer and producer RICK JAMES. Download photo selects from the night: (Here).

TY JAMES, RICK'S daughter, was on-hand to host the celebration. "My Dad was a triple threat in the industry which is extraordinary today," says TY JAMES. "It overwhelms me to see all of this support for him. He is a perfect example of determination, never giving up and pushing for what you believe in to reach stardom."

Chris Honetschlaeger (Record Parlour founder/owner), Ty James and Chadwick Hemus (Record Parlour partner/curator),.

The party displayed original stage clothing from RICK JAMES while KCRW DJ Jeremy Sole and DJ Three (Jason Joseph) played vinyl from RICK JAMES' private vinyl collection all night long for guests. The official re-release of RICK JAMES' quintessential STREET SONGS album is available now (here).

A brilliant hitmaker, soulful singer, riveting performer, influential producer/impresario, and a pioneer in the fusion of funk groove and rock attitude-RICK JAMES was all of these and more. Flamboyant, provocative, charismatic, volatile and always outrageous, he was a consummate artist and a bona fide star.

DJ Three (Jason Joseph) kick's off the Rick James vinyl re-release party at THE RECORD PARLOUR.
Members of RICK JAMES' Stone City Band enjoy the party.
