'Vision Of Hope' At The House Of Lords
New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Tally Koren) The "Vision of Hope" initiative pioneered by singer-songwriter Tally Koren, to inspire young people to become involved in the peace process through poetry, took place at the House of Lords on Monday 20th November 2017. In the historic River Room, Tally's vision for peace and reconciliation came alive as the event and welcomed diversity of its attendees representing different cultures, faiths and backgrounds. With a strong message of hope received from inspiring speeches made by leading spiritual speakers, including the Archbishop of York, John Sentamu, Rabbi David Rosen CBE, Imam Shaykh Ibrahim Mogra, Baroness Blood and Lord Robin Eames OM who hosted the event.

The climax of the event took place when Koren revealed the winners of the 2017 National Schools Poetry Competition, with the theme of Peace, launched by Koren earlier this year. The poems were judged by the renowned singer-songwriter Katie Melua, Don Black and the Chairman of The Blake Society Tim Heath and Tally Koren.

Tally performed 'Magical Powers', a poem written by a 13 year old which was the inspiration to create the competition.

The Official Lyric Video for Magical Powers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbqXfH3UY-I
'I believe that every child has a hidden poem inside. The purity and innocence of a child's emotions is a way to touch and change the hearts of people to create a better future. I want to encourage young people to use their imagination, creativity and emotion to inspire all of us.'

The release of this single follows hot on the heels of the success of her previous releases, which were played by Chris Evans, Graham Norton and Steve Wright on BBC Radio 2, playlisted on forty other UK- based radio stations and featured on the Virgin Media TV playlist.

"Magical Powers" is the first single to be taken from Tally's forthcoming album 'If I Could Write A Love Poem' which is due for release in Spring 2018. The album is based on poems that Tally will edit and turn into songs; three of which will be the winning poems from the National Schools Poetry Competition.

A multi-lingual artist with an insatiable appetite for bridging cultures, Tally's velvety voice offers a delicious blend of pop, jazz, and latin positioning Tally as a truly international artist. The colour of her unique voice even caught the attention of James Bond directors of 'Quantum Of Solace.' Tally has performed at many top venues with recent highlights including The Marbella International Film Festival and at the Tate Britain and the Royal Albert Hall.

Koren believes her voice is there to be heard and is extremely passionate about using her music as a melodic tool to bridge the gap between different cultures. In the past, Tally hosted a concert entitled Music For Peace' in the Middle East, where Palestinians and Israelis performed on the same stage and, for that, she received a prestigious 'Ambassador For Peace' Award at the House Of Commons. In 2018, Koren will use her voice to inspire children all over the nation. 'A voice of velvet that has the power to shift cultural perceptions' - Tally gives her music to you!
