Antigone Rising And Jen Foster To Perform At The Tin Angel On Sunday, November 11,2012
Philadelphia,PA (Top40 Charts/ Antigone Rising official website) ANTIGONE RISING, the all female Country/Rock band, will be performing at the Tin Angel in Philadelphia with award winning singer/songwriter, JEN FOSTER on Sunday, November 11 at 7:30 pm. ANTIGONE RISING exploded onto the spotlight in 2005 becoming the first band on Starbuck's Hear Music (Lava Records) with their best selling debut LP. A lineup change brought Nini Camps to the band, whose voice blends perfectly with the signature style soaring three part harmonies of founding sisters Kristen Henderson (bass /vocals), Cathy Henderson (lead guitar /vocals) and Dena Tauriello (drums), that ANTIGONE RISING has become known and loved for. The band's latest CD, "23 Red" continues to turn heads as their themes abound with songs that speak to the full range of emotions and life. The band has opened for such acts as The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Rob Thomas, and The Bangles, and are favorites in Festivals around the country.

Recently, ANTIGONE RISING traveled to Israel and The West Bank as Arts Envoys for the U.S. State Department. During their trip, ANTIGONE RISING performed in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Ramallah and other regional cities, leading community outreach workshops and making music with Israeli and Palestinian musicians demonstrating once again that all cultures can achieve peace and understanding through good old rocking music.

"A rock ʻnʼ roll Texan living in Nashville," JEN FOSTER is an award-winning singer/songwriter who regularly sells out shows across the country. Her special bond with her fans creates a captive audience anxious to hear her stories and take in her unique sense of humor. Whether FOSTER is singing about the time her lover moved out and took everything she owned in her AAA radio favorite, "Taking Bob Dylan," or about our jaded American culture in "Closer to Nowhere," she always has something genuine & meaningful to say. The video for "Closer To Nowhere" went to #1 on the LOGO Channel and stayed in their Top 10 list for 6 months as well as being a featured song on MTVʼs "The Hills."

Always independent, JEN FOSTER has owned her Fosterchild Records label for almost 10 years securing film/TV placements including the theme to the Emmy winning web based soap opera "Venice: The Series." Sheʼs created "The Writer's Share", to benefit the TJ Martell Foundation for Leukemia, Cancer, and AIDS Research featuring hit songwriters Richard Marx, Keb' Mo, and Mike Reid among others held yearly at the world-renowned Bluebird Café. The songstress, whoʼs voice has been compared to Sheryl Crow, Tracy Chapman and the Cranberries' Dolores O'Riordan," is working on a brand new, full length album, cowriting with the likes of Jeffrey Steele (Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw.
