The Reverend Shawn Amos Releases New Track & Music Video, "Ain't Gonna Name Names"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Modern blues singer The Reverend Shawn Amos has released a new single and video, "Ain't Gonna Name Names", directed by Nicole Alexander. The video premiered with Yahoo! Music, who writes that the new release "shows off his prowess for the blues (plus his well-known harp skills!)". The track features an all-star rhythm section with Steve Jordan (John Mayer) on drums and Larry Taylor (Tom Waits) on bass. "It's the feel-good blues song of the summer," Amos notes of the track. "I wanted a video and recording that proves blues music can have the giddiness and shine of pop music while keeping its heart firmly on its sleeve."
"Ain't Gonna Name Names" is currently available to download via iTunes.

Shawn Amos was recently featured on NPR's Weekend Edition and SCPR's "Take Two" radio programs, and has received accolades from Relix, Purevolume, Elmore, and others. He was recently a live musical guest on Good Day New York, ABC News, and SiriusXM's Bluesville. He also turned in a must-see studio performance for Classicalite.

His recently released record The Reverend Shawn Amos Loves You reached #2 on Roots Music Report's Contemporary Blues Album Chart. The album marks the producing debut of 2x Grammy nominee, Mindi Abair.

Reverend Shawn has seen the ups and downs of Hollywood living, but ultimately found his home with the Blues. His weekly Youtube series, "Kitchen Table Blues", exemplifies his commitment to keeping the musical tradition vibrant and alive, bringing intimate down-to-earth performances to the digital realm. The show was recently spotlighted on KCRW's "Good Food" program.

Amos attributes his diverse background to growing up in the colorful Hollywood landscape. The son of chocolate chip cookie magnate Wally"Famous" Amos and night club singer Shirl-ee May Ellis, Amos is dedicated to continuing, extending and spreading the tradition of the blues with unsurpassed fervor and emotional expression. Prior to becoming a blues preacher — and ordained minister with the Universal Life Church —Amos was an A&R executive at Rhino Entertainment and vice president of A&R at Shout! Factory, where he produced and recorded multiple Grammy-nominated projects. He produced broadcast, DVD and audio titles for legacy artists ranging from Heart to Quincy Jones, for whom Amos later ran the Listen Up Foundation.
