Grain Audio Speakers are "worth getting excited about" (Cult of Mac), Pre-Sale Goes Live Today on Kickstarter
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Grain Audio's new line of solid wood speakers and headphones are designed for music lovers, and their combination of classic style and pure sound have won the hearts of everyone who's gotten a sneak peek. The Grain team is now giving music fans, design enthusiasts, and other early adopters a chance to see why they're "worth getting excited about" (Cult of Mac) and be a part of their market launch through Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2096575920/grain-audio-play-loud

Headquartered in New York, Grain Audio was founded by a small four-person team with respective backgrounds in acoustics, design, architecture, and marketing, united by their love of music and their desire to hear it the way the artist intended. Noticing a gap in the market for speakers designed specifically for those who make, study, write about or just truly love music, the group set out to redefine standards with four products: a bookshelf speaker (PBS), a portable Bluetooth speaker (PWS), over-ear headphones (OEHP) and in-ear headphones (IEHP). Each embodies a fresh, minimalist design that uses wood for both its warm aesthetic value and superior sound dynamics.

Cult Of Mac recently geeked out with the PWS ($249), a battery-powered unit that connects with any Bluetooth-enabled product and features Grammy-winning Waves MaxxAudio processing technology. They praised the speaker's ability to "easily fill a large room with robust, rich sound," making their reigning favorite competitor sound "positively weak" by comparison. Grain's "noticeably classier" speaker "sets itself apart with a distinctive walnut-paneled enclosure that would look right at home in Don Draper's apartment."

The PBS ($699) will make a statement in any home environment and can be wall-mounted or positioned on any wall or shelf. The speakers feature the same signature warm wood aesthetic and include a bass-reflex enclosure and mid-bass woofer that naturally customize sound across genres for perfect playback.

The crystal-clear acoustics of Grain Audio's larger units extend to their IEHP and OEHP ($99 and $199, respectively), which both feature walnut housing and sleek gray wiring, providing a comfortable fit and unrivaled clarity.

Leading up to their market debut, Grain Audio has partnered with music venues including New York's Music Hall of Williamsburg, Terminal 5, and The Capitol Theatre; Boston's The Sinclair; and Philadelphia's Union Transfer to give musicians a sneak preview of the PBS in artist dressing rooms. Keith Sewell, who has played with Lyle Lovett and Dixie Chicks, among others, is one of many who praised the speakers for how "naturally" they represent the intended sound. "They just sound rich," he concluded, "and the smooth high end is like butter."

Grain Audio also recognizes its obligation to users to give back via social and environmental initiatives, and the company employs environmentally sound practices and materials (including FSC-certified wood) that minimize the company's carbon footprint.
