
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ dPulse Recordings) - Following up the success of their collaboration on a version of the
Electric Light Orchestra classic 'Showdown' - which continues to ride Dance/Electronic sales charts worldwide (including 27 weeks at No 1 on the Ambient charts at retailer PlayItTonight.com - electronica veterans 3kStatic return with a new EP release featuring a new remix of 'Ma-Ma-Ma Belle'.
Mixed by Chris Domingo (whose credits include work with Seal, Paul Oakenfold and many more), the new mix promises to be a club stalwart.
The EP release will also feature the Datguy remix of 'Ma-Ma-Ma-Belle' as well as alternate versions of 'Showdown'.
Composed by Jeff Lynne, both 'Showdown' and 'Ma-Ma-Ma Belle' appear on the Electric Light Orchestra album On The Third Day. Both tracks also appear on the P. Hux album Homemade Spaceship: The Music of ELO Performed By P. Hux. The 3kStatic + P. Hux collaboration began with the re-recording of the P. Hux of the classic ELO tracks.
An almunus of The Orchestra (formerly ELO, Part II); Parthenon Huxley has collaborated with a seemingly endless parade of pop luminaries, including Foreigner, XTC, eels and many others.
Both 'Showdown' and 'Ma-Ma-Ma Belle' also appear on the 3kStatic album release 'Voodoo Science' (dPulse/INgrooves/Neo MCC), and were released in digital formats earlier in 2008.
The new release includes additional mixes and versions and will be available September 30.
