Amanda Palmer, Ben Folds, Neil Gaiman, And Damian Kulash Write Album 'One Tiny Thing' MP3!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Gilrie Action) Ben Folds, Damian Kulash (OK Go), Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls, solo), and author Neil Gaiman set out to write and record eight songs in eight hours (4 p.m. to midnight) at Berklee College of Music, Monday, April 25, and release them 10 hours later during Rethink Music, in Boston. Like Radiohead did recently, this group plans to show how record companies are becoming superfluous to building buzz and distributing music.

Check out the "One Tiny Thing" MP3 off the resulting 8in8 album where it premiered on SPIN yesterday or HERE. The 8in8 album titled Nighty Night is now available through Bandcamp.com. Proceeds from the first week of downloads will benefit Berklee City Music, which provides free music education to underserved teens.

The historic collaboration was broadcast live from the recording studio at rethink-music.com and the group gave a presentation there on the recording project at 10:40am followed by a private concert for conference registrants at 8:00pm at the Berklee Performance Center (BPC).

The complete Rethink Music program which includes performances by Basia Bulat, Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears, Metric & more is here www.rethink-music.com.
