Just Like That". Hailed by Billboard Magazine as "My Kind of World's" secret weapon, "
Just Like That" follows hits "
You Move Me" and "
Voodoo" as the CD's third Single release.
Though embraced by her fan base, "My Kind of World" marked a career turn for the Artist best known for her string of seven No 1 Billboard Dance hits, including the now classic "This is Your Night", the theme from the Paramount Motion Picture 54 "If You Could Read My Mind", and the WorldWide Club Smash "Sexual (Li Da Di)". The CD features an eclectic collection of tracks that showcase Amber's versatility as a Singer and Songwriter. The tracks run the gammit from Electronica to Pop, Rock, and even Jazz spiced with touches of Classical Asia, Alt Rock and even Country.
But two things have not changed. The Artist has a superb mastery of melody and writes incredible pop hooks. "Just Like That" is a pop gem that could yet propel Amber back into the Grammy spotlight for songwriting - she was nominated in 2004 for Cher's cover of Amber's hit Global Peace Anthem "Love One Another".
And her incredible voice. On fan favorite (and potential 4th Single) "Sacrificial Lamb", Amber proves herself a contender in the best Pop/Rock vocal category. She belts the song's powerful chorus like a seasoned veteran: "Set me free, I know it hurts; It's like a lost paradise; Now you're crying, now you're dying, like a sacrificial lamb".
