Nashville, TN (Top40 Charts/ PLA Media) After a series of concerts in Yokohama, Japan, benefiting the earthquake and tsunami victims, and a week later a sold out show in Isla Mujeres, Mexico, benefiting the special needs children at the
Little Yellow School House, EG Kight heads back to the US to continue promoting her latest album, "Lip Service." Still on a high from being asked to headline the Mexico event in 2013, Kight brings her energy to Florida and Georgia for several shows.
Before heading back to her stomping grounds, Kight will be performing at the Blues and Brews Festival in Palm Harbor, FL, on February 25. She then packs up her gear and heads back to Dublin, GA, where she will appear as the Grand Marshal in her hometown's Bicentennial St. Patrick's Day Parade. Dublin will be celebrating the last few hours of St. Patrick's Day stage front, while Kight performs at the Theatre Dublin.
"This has been a busy couple of months that I would not trade for the world," said Kight. "I am looking forward to continue touring and using my craft to help wherever I can."
Hailing from the town of Dublin in rural Georgia, this multi-talented performer still lives on the land that's been in her family for four generations, proving just how deep her Southern roots really stretch. Noted for being a 'strikingly rich' vocalist, compared to the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Phoebe Snow, Koko Taylor and even Patsy Cline, albeit with a bit more edge, her music attracts fans of many different genres and her skills on the six-string are more than impressive, making this powerhouse a talent to be reckoned with!
