Born Cages Premiere "Don't Look Back" Video On FILTER
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Razor & Tie) Indie rockers Born Cages has released the video for the song "Don't Look Back" on FILTER - Watch HERE (https://bit.ly/1gb8FIl). This song is off of the band's The Sidelines EP. "Don't Look Back" was co-directed by Brooks Jones (P.O.D., Eve 6) and Bill Stepanoski (Franz Ferdinand, Yellow Dogs). Vice Noisey describes the music as a "blend of 80s-influenced synth/guitar work and modern pop-rock sounds" and Filter called the EP "Spellbinding." The band has also announced new tour dates including SXSW (tour dates below).

Born Cages released The Sidelines EP on Washington Square, an imprint formed by Razor & Tie. The label boasts such acts as The Hold Steady, Augustana and the UK rock band Deaf Havana.
The Sidelines EP was produced by Jon Kaplan (Walk The Moon) and Olivier Straus (Arctic Monkeys, Matt & Kim) at Mission Sound in Brooklyn, NY. Born Cages will release their debut full length album later this year. On the new album the band taps into a boundless style that encompasses arena-size energy and folk-inspired melody and song craft. As a result, the group's debut full-length walks a fine line between timeless rock grandeur and artful indie alternative. A balance that seems gracefully concocted yet flows naturally by the band's collaboration with their producers.

Blackbook raves, "More than a decade after the riff-heavy heyday of The Strokes, The Vines, The White Stripes, The Hives, and many other bands that put the word "the" before a plural noun, we may be ready for another bout of ripping revivalism... savage four-piece Born Cages, certainly makes that argument."

About Born Cages
Lead singer and guitarist Vlad Holiday was born amidst a European political revolution in Romania. The rebellion, which accounted for over a thousand deaths, resulted in the violent overthrow and execution of the country's communist leader. The Born Cages front man recalls meeting his father for the first time at the age of ten when he and his family came to New York's JFK airport in 1999. After switching continents, Holiday gravitated towards music as an escape from the culture shock he was enduring. "I used the guitar as a voice when I didn't have one," he explains. Holiday's trying childhood experiences often peek out as lyrical connotations that long for revolution and change.

Holiday's first years in America proved challenging, but in his teens he encountered a few kindred spirits. Holiday officially formed Born Cages in 2011 and the group dove head-first into New York City's eclectic indie rock movement. He is joined by high school friend Amanda Carl on keyboards, Dave Tantao on drums, and Pete Malleo on bass. After signing with Washington Square/Razor & Tie, the group released The Sidelines EP that following summer. They received nods from the likes of Rolling Stone, MTV.com, FILTER and Noisey, and their first single "Don't Look Back" was even featured on the chart-topping Now That's I Call Music! 45. Meanwhile, they shared bills with a bevy of acts such as Har Mar Superstar, Gold Fields, Said The Whale and Royal Teeth. They were even handpicked by Guns N' Roses to be the sole support band on two sold out GN'R club shows.
