New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Nodd Morris Official Website) - 24-year-old Nodd Morris is an intelligent, hardworking Penn State economics major with no desire to do anything with his degree. He's got the creds to blend in with the well-behaved, determining the next market trend or working with the price-elasticity of the iPod you listen to him on, but instead, he wants to bust out at the seams and defy predictability. With merits stretching to both ends of the spectrum, like Snoop Dogg and Ben Bernanke, Morris is a double-edged sword.

A & R reps, radio promoters and record labels aside, he's proud to call himself an 'Indie' artist who's breaking through the music monotony with his latest album release, 'The Movie.' Word-of-mouth attention in his hometown to the follow-up to his debut, 'Burning Bridges,' has already launched his MySpace plays to over 25,000 since its May 2009 release. Moreover, A&R Select said, 'Whatever you're doing when you first hear Nodd Morris, you'll stop and listen.'

'The Movie,' which Morris calls the 'soundtrack to his life,' features a compilation of 'stuck-in-your-head' Folk/Rock melodies, complex guitar riffs, trunk-rattling base notes and deep, thought-provoking lyrics. He claims the album personifies the whirlwind of struggles and revelations that led Morris to where he is today.

'Because of everything I've been through [alcohol, anxiety, drugs], I feel like my everyday life is an entertaining movie - people are always watching my every move, and critics always have something new to say,' Morris said. 'The title was obviously locked from its conception, and the songs on this album 'spin the reels,' if you will; each one is a scene.'

'The Movie' was produced by Marc Frigo, owner and founder of Frigo Recording, whose engineering credits include Jewel, Bob Segar, Restless Heart and Patty Loveless. 'When Nodd first came to me with his ideas for 'The Movie,' I was blown away by his songs, voice and natural musicianship,' Frigo said. 'So much so, that I actually ended up finishing the mix of 'Lights' for him for free, because I wanted him to see firsthand how great his songs were.'

In August, Morris will return to Penn State for his second-to-last semester, but he's made it clear his focus won't be on class. 'I'm going to play out wherever will have me, as much as I can, and as hard as I can. And I'll continue to give my account of these experiences we share,' he said matter-of-factly. 'I'm going to be none other than Nodd Morris.'
