Brooklyn's Breaking Laces Bring Their Bad Selves To Austin For Sxsw 2011 - March 16-19th
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Workman Entertainment) Brooklyn-based trio, Breaking Laces will be bringing their irreverently indelible tunes and power pop/rock sensibilities (with a dash of acoustic) to SXSW 2011 with four shows spanning March 16-19th.

The band, led by wordsmith Willem Hartong, hailed by the Washington Times as "something of a more down-to-earth version of Rivers Cuomo wit his head screwed on straight" will be performing new songs from their upcoming album release When You Find Out, set to drop April 19, 2011.

Breaking Laces brings to SXSW a road tested live show whose upbeat intensity belies the musicians' seemingly mild-mannered exterior and a stripped-down lineup of acoustic guitar, bass and drums (which they augment on stage with samplers and other electronic devices).

The new record, produced by Nashville based Ed Tuton, features their much known smart, witty, honest and frequently humorous songwriting style with well-crafted songs that range from pop ditties to distortion influenced rock.
