Among the artists joining the tour will be White Rabbits, Deer Tick, Doug Paisley, We Are Augustines, Keegan Dewitt, and New York City's own Christopher Paul Stelling! The tour touches down in eight barns across the East Coast & Midwest, with CPS joining them on the road for two of the shows (tour dates below). Earlier this week, Christopher Paul Stelling captivated a sold-out Mercury Lounge crowd, opening for William Elliott Whitmore (check Bowery Presents' House List for the glowing review). To give his fans one more opportunity to catch him live before he heads into the studio to record his debut album next week, CPS has announced a free show tomorrow night, July 22nd at Rockwood Music Hall's Stage Two at 9pm.
Stelling has become known for his impassioned live performances- his songwriting reaches deep, tugging emotional heartstrings while conjuring up imagery from mythology and folklore. He'll will be heading down to Louisville to record the album in August at Funeral Home Studios with Kevin Ratterman (Wax Fang), who recently engineered My Morning Jacket's gorgeous new album, Circuital.
