Coat Of Many Colors Composers Mark Leggett And Velton Ray Bunch
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Mark Leggett (MY NAME IS EARL, ANNE FRANK'S HOLOCAUST) and Velton Ray Bunch (STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE, QUANTUM LEAP) co-composed the original music for DOLLY PARTON'S COAT OF MANY COLORS - the upcoming family-oriented faith-based story about the incidents in Dolly and her family's life around the time she was nine years old, airing NBC on Thursday December 10 (9/8C).

Leggett and Bunch previously worked together on the main titles for the NBC series THE PRETENDER which earned Leggett his first EMMY nomination.

ABOUT MARK LEGGETT
Mark Leggett has collaborated with other composers including Danny Lux (co-composing the music for the hit TV series MY NAME IS EARL), and also collaborated with guitarist/songwriter Richard Thompson on several documentaries.

After moving to Los Angeles in the early 80s, Leggett was signed as a songwriter by Warner Chappell and would team with developing and established artists to write songs, most notably with Kylie Minogue. As a guitarist, his work can be heard on the Eminem song "Toy Soldiers", also a #1 hit for the singer Martika. Some musician friends asked Leggett to work with them on a Fox show - which led to Leggett's first TV mini-series GREAT DRIVES where he composed music that was recorded by LEVON HELM and THE BAND.

With a résumé that boasts includes documentaries set all over the world, from The American South to South Africa, Scotland to Vietnam, Leggett's interest in regional sounds and instruments continues to color his tonal palate. In his Los Angeles studio, he utilizes traditional instrumentation, modern circuitry, and world-class musicians to record his music. Leggett's recent project, the National Geographic Production of ANNE FRANK'S HOLOCAUST is perhaps his most traditional composition to date, featuring more typical orchestral arrangements.

ABOUT VELTON RAY BUNCH
Music composer and producer, VELTON RAY BUNCH, has written the music for over fifty television series and movies. He is a four time Emmy nominee and won the Emmy for his musical score, STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE in 2005. A few of the standout series have included the much acclaimed QUANTUM LEAP, JAG, STAR TREK, HILL STREET BLUES (with Mike Post), and THE PRETENDER. TV Movies have included FLIGHT 93, FAITH OF OUR FATHERS, LITTLE RICHARD and SILENT WITNESS.

In addition to his TV/Film work, VELTON has had his music recorded and performed by such notable and diverse artists as CHER, RAY CHARLES, THE POINTER SISTERS, MAC DAVIS, LIONAL RITCHIE and the COMMODORES. He won a platinum record for DOLLY PARTON'S "Eagle When She Flies" album. Two outstanding highlights of his career included composing and conducting music for Ronald Reagan's Inauguration as well as award winning music for the 1988 Olympics. COAT OF MANY COLORS represents the fourth DOLLY PARTON movie he has scored.
