NEW YORK (TRIO Network) - Trio Network Wins U.S Broadcast Of Third Annual American Dance Music Awards! DanceStar USA - The American Dance Music Awards has announced the event's first 2004 national U.S TV broadcast.

NBC/Universal owned pop culture tv cable network TRIO will air the one-hour television special on Friday, July 16th - the first of multiple transmissions over the course of six weeks. Produced from the event held in Miami earlier this year, the program features: Carmen Electra, Yoko Ono, MOBY, Paris Hilton, Tommy Lee, Boy George, Dave Navarro and Paul Van Dyk plus many other stars from music and TV.

DanceStar USA, is filmed for syndication to 54 countries around the world and is the most prestigious electronic music and clubbing lifestyle event in the world. The TV show represents an area of music and lifestyle that is rarely seen on TV and features mainstream music stars as well as the worlds biggest DJ's.

Now in its third year, every major international DJ attended the star-studded awards show, held at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami in March, The night's big winners included temptress Paris Hilton, who collected the award for Best Celebrity DJ, Paul Van Dyk who scooped three awards for Best International DJ, Best Event and his collaborative effort with DJ Colette and Felix Da Housecat for Motorola's global advertising campaign won him Best Use Of Music In A TV Commercial. Former Baywatch goddess Carmen Electra delivered a performance beyond all expectations as the host of this year's show, electrifying the audience with her co-presenting hubby Dave Navarro.

The Crystal Method also took away three awards including Best Act, Best Album (Legion Of Boom) and Best Single (Born Too Slow). Renowned DJ duo and Grammy winners Deep Dish took home two awards including the prestigious Best DJ award and Best Compilation.

A highlight of the evening was for Carl Cox and Frankie Bones who took to the stage to present Moby with a special award for Outstanding Contribution To Dance Music.

A performance by Precision Guided Musicians - a world exclusive collaboration by Perry Farrell, Moby and Paul Van Dyk - who stunned the audience with an electronic reworking of Lou Reed's classic track "Walk On The Wild Side", once again demonstrates why DanceStar is reputed worldwide for its innovative and unique collaborations. The Crystal Method takes to the stage with their lively electro-rock number "Born Too Slow" while former N-Sync front man JC Chasez pleases the 4,000 strong crowd with the popular track "Some Girls (Dance With Women)". Other performances include the UK's Audio Bullys who performs a medley of "Snake" and "Real Life". Motorcycle performes their best seller "As The Rush Comes", but it was the amazing Blue Man Group that provides a mouth-watering finale of the classic track "I Feel love" and steels the show as the fireworks illuminate Miami's skyline.

Andy Ruffell, Founder of DanceStar Worldwide comments: "We firmly believe that this year's show has put us on the right path towards turning DanceStar in to one of the largest music shows in America over the next few years. The show appeals to a massive audience in the U.S that isn't being reached effectively by any other music show. We are bringing electronic music to mainstream America. TRIO provides a major platform that will help us reach this goal. DanceStar USA 2004 is proud have TRIO as our third year broadcast partner."

Kris Slava, Vice President, Acquisitions and Program Planning, commented: Music is where pop culture meets passion. We love music as much as our viewers, and this new program block will celebrate a wide range of great artists, from singer/songwriters and rock to hip-hop and dance.
The U.S broadcast of this year's DanceStar USA - The American Dance Music Awards will premiere on TRIO on Friday, July 16th and have encore performances through August 31.
