About Donica Knight
Donica Knight's music inspires the soul, invigorates the mind and encompasses an undying passion for the art itself. A Montgomery, Alabama native, Knight has just begun to scratch the surface in Nashville. As she might tell you, she is still in the top of the first inning of her career. But what a ride her fans are in for! Shadowing Knight for a day would shed light on how talented and devoted an artist she is—quite honestly one of the hardest working people out there. Along with her tireless drive to perfect her craft, Knight's distinctive voice is a breath of fresh air in the country format.

Inspired by the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Patsy Cline and Shania Twain, Donica strives to bring her own unique sound that is undoubtedly Donica Knight. In the early years, from church to school choirs, she used her hard-working personality and determination to pursue every possible opportunity to participate in musical performances. Blessed with super-model looks and a down-to-earth personality that is winning over the most pronounced of cynics, Knight is capturing the hearts of the world one fan at a time.

Growing up in the south, Donica was a quintessential tomboy. She played baseball with 'the boys' until the 5th grade and even made their All-Star team. Sports were always a big part of her life. She excelled in basketball, volleyball and softball throughout her high school career. So much so that, after graduation, she contemplated playing collegiate ball for Auburn or Ole Miss. Donica had to make a decision; sports or music? The decision was clear. She would continue her education at Auburn University while following her dream of music.

After 2 years at Auburn University, Knight opted to enroll in online classes at Troy University to afford her the time to become the lead-singer of the acclaimed cover band "Lucky Town." Performing 3-4 nights per week on the college, wedding, and debutante ball circuit garnered her the experience that fueled the proverbial fire. As Knight played more and more gigs reaching thousands of welcoming fans, it became evident she was bound for a life on the stage. The more her passion grew, the more she could not contain the restlessness to expand her musical scope. Entertaining was clearly the vehicle by which Donica Knight was meant to make a difference and change lives. That vehicle drove her north—to Nashville.

"I believe the Lord instills passions in us for a reason. If you feel a destined calling you should wake up everyday and pursue that joy he has made a part of you. For me that joy is singing. I am humbled and honored to share my gift." - Donica Knight

Knight is different—the kind of different that is destined to impact the lives of millions through her voice, song and constant desire to make people smile.

Donica Knight has shared the stage with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, Chris Young, 3 Doors Down, Kenny Rogers, Kellie Pickler, Little River Band, Jerrod Neimann, Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, Justin Moore, The Swon Brothers, Thompson Square, Darryl Worley, and Skid Row, among many others. Donica's talent even captured the attention of country music superstar Ronnie Milsap. They have recorded two songs together—one of which was co-written by Knight.
