Austin, TX. (Top40 Charts/ GigaCrate) - Keister is proud to announce the release of its debut album Doobie Careful, an electronic fusion project that dips into the genres of breakbeat, blues, rock, IDM, funk, and electronica. The 12-track LP is available through GigaCrate.com, as well as major online retailers including iTunes, Rhapsody, and Napster. Remixed versions of the songs title tracks, This Joint Right Here and Sexy Thing, are available for DJs exclusively through GigaCrate (www.gigacrate.com). There was not really one point of inspiration that fueled the concept of the album. As a debut release, we were fortunate to have the freedom to explore our musical abilities and develop a unique sound that would set the tone for future releases, stated Ritchie Wallace, one-half of the Austin-based production group. Now that the album is complete, we can focus on our favorite part of the process - collaborating with other artists to create a series of remixes and performances that can drive the soundtrack of this summers dance floor. The remix collaboration process for Keister has already begun. The group has teamed with local DJ and remixer Rex Bruton (aka Steel Grooves) to develop a house version of the track Sexy Thing. David Sellars (aka SmoovD) is collaborating on a breakbeat version of This Joint Right Here. Our love of electronic music started on the dance floor. Its only natural that we would strive to end our album?s journey there, said band member Charlie Guidry. We are lucky to be living in an era where we can harness digital technology and distribution platforms to shorten the gap between when an album is created and when it available to our listeners. We can release the album and let feedback drive the creation of remixes. We can be relevant. About Keister Formed as a collaborative effort in 2001, Keister set the foundation of a mutating sound landscape to the backbeat of electronica's ever-evolving history. As the electronica culture evolves from its former days in the underground club circuit to its current state in pop culture, the American electronic product duo hunts for its next sounds while still staying true to the needs of the bodies on the dance floor.
