Miami, FL. (Top40 Charts/ Traktor Scratch) - The annual Winter Music Conference in South Beach, Miami kicks off with a bang this year with the SCI+TEC music label event on Wednesday, March 25th at Kore Ultra Lounge. The night is packed with a stellar lineup of forward thinking DJ talent, including label head Dubfire, Germany's Oliver Huntemann [debuting exclusive tracks from his upcoming album H-3], Minisketch label boss and Circo Loco resident Davide Squillace, and Paris-based techno innovator Paul Ritch [performing a live set], who will all be breaking in brand-new SoBe venue Kore on its Grand Opening night. The evening's innovative music will be accompanied by a revolutionary new video installation by Immersion, controlled by VJs from Human [Sheffield, UK].

"I'm excited to host the second annual WMC SCI+TEC party in Miami where past artists Davide Squillace and Paul Ritch will perform alongside my frequent collaborator, Oliver Huntemann," says Dubfire. "It will be me and Oliver's first date together and will mark a rare appearance by the German super-producer at this year's WMC. In addition, I look forward to showcasing the talents of the winner of our first DJ contest who will get a chance to warm up the crowd and impress his talents upon the industry gathering. See you on the dance floor!"

In keeping with its mission to discover up and coming new electronic music talent,SCI+TEC has teamed with sponsors Beatportal.com, DJ Mag, and Traktor Scratch for a special DJ contest. The winner of the contest will be chosen to play the opening DJ slot of the evening, performing at a pre-party for industry heavyweights, along with a meet-and-greet with all the night's performers. The winner must submit a 30-minute DJ set performed on the industry's premier DJ software, Traktor Scratch, with the winning mix selected by Dubfire himself. Further info can be found on Beatportal.com.

The SCI+TEC label, founded by Ali "Dubfire" Shirazinia [one half of Deep Dish], burst onto the dance music scene less than two years ago with its first release, Roadkill. Beginning a bold new musical direction for Dubfire, the track was an instant hit, and SCI+TEC quickly became known as the go-to place for uncompromising digital audio and burgeoning new artist development. Since then, they've put out a number of well received tracks by such heavy hitters as Delete, Smith & Selway, Steve Lawler, Zoo Brazil, Paul Ritch, The Dolphins and more.
