New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ dGENERATE RECORDS) There's nothing ordinary about electronic dance duo Vegamoore's ambitious Plurölögie series, so it makes sense the project's first single goes on sale Sunday, April 20. "Gaul" will be released on dGenerate Records where the duo has just signed, the label announced today.
"PLURölögie is on the edge, as is Vegamoore," said dGenerate Records president Michael Jones. "Launching it with a nod to 420 seemed a foregone conclusion."
Vincent Vega and
Thomas Moore, who make up Vegamoore, quipped: "It's one of the best days of the year for us."
The entire PLURölögie series, four EPs over the course of the next year, promotes the principles of the popular acronym PLUR -- peace, love, unity and respect - while paying tribute to rave culture. Each month, a new single will be released and every three months, an EP.
"It's a hectic schedule, but Vegamoore is up for it," Jones said. "The guys are constantly in the studio producing new material. Their creative output is phenomenal."
Vegamoore was born in 2009 when rock drummer Vega formed a musical collaboration with longtime friend
Thomas Moore, a classically-trained pianist and rock musician himself. The pair played their first sets that year, igniting a rise to stardom that continues today.
With an insatiable appetite for sound, these two guys from Italy have produced 11 singles, 2 EPs, and dozens of remixes since they played their first sets together in 2009. The duo have opened for Fatboy Slim, Steve Aoki, Zombie Nation, Atari Teenage Riot, The Bloody Beetroots, Erol Alkan, D.I.M., Roni Size, Gosteffects. IKKI, Belzebass and Anthony Rother.
The pair have had an intensely busy 2014 already, releasing their "Hell-O" EP in January and a collaboration with Otto Van Schirach, "F**k My Brain Out," in February.
