New York, NY (Top40 Charts) This week WXPN "Next" band-to-watch Elliott BROOD's 2014 LP 'Work and Love' (Paper Bag Records) was nominated for a Juno award for 'Roots & Traditional Album of the Year.' The trio has confirmed additional dates for their headlining 2015 North American tour, including a show at New York's Mercury Lounge tonight, DC's DC9 (1/31), and LA's Satellite Club (4/10). Magnet premiered the blazingly quick new music video for "Jigsaw Heart" directed by
Christopher Mills, whose credits include videos for Modest Mouse, Interpol, and Broken Social Scene. The "hallucinatory" video features raw footage of a night at an Elliott BROOD show brought to you by hand-painted texture layers and abstract shapes.
Last month the CBC said the three-piece "have been vital contributors to the Canadian roots scene -- but their latest effort sees them trading in banjos for electric guitars... with a heavy emphasis on rock."
