VERNON, CT. (Top40 Charts/ TicketNetwork) The city of Las Vegas is preparing to host a number of big concert artists throughout the rest of 2011 and well into 2012. Elton John, Shania Twain, Celine Dion, and Barry Manilow are among the stars that are either already in residency in major Las Vegas hotels or have plans to begin their shows in the coming months. Pop classic Manilow began a Vegas run in March 2010. He is performing at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino three nights a week until early December. Dion is joining Manilow in the city this summer. Her residency, entitled Celine, began in January at Caesars Palace and is scheduled for three years. Twain and John likewise have multi-year commitments. Sir Elton's new show, The Million Dollar Piano, starts at the end of September and runs for three years, while Twain's Still the One begins in December 2012. The four superstars join an already packed roster of artists that are performing this summer. That lineup includes visiting artists and bands like New Kids on the Block, Rihanna, Godsmack, and Adele.
