New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Girlie Action Media & Marketing) Bronx-bred style child Gordon Voidwell releases the 22-song MalcolmXXXMclaren mixtape this February, just in time to coincide with (or rather to "complicate," as Voidwell puts it) the onset of Black History Month. The highly anticipated follow up to 2009's Voided Checks mixtape finds the Harlem Boys Choir alumnus delivering his signature vocal acrobatics over digitally fortified beats on funky disco cuts like "Id Ego Superego" and "Can't Be Bothered," but also exploring the realms of No Wave and Post-Punk on tracks like "We All Fake," "Young Studz," and "Nothing To Say." Whether he's snarling raps over old school electro hip hop breaks, as on "Like Mike," or chanting addictively repetitive hooks on the piano-driven house jam "Haus Of Luv," Gordon Voidwell always maintains a unique voice and sound, literally making him the common thread throughout this eclectic blend of musical styles.

Joining the ranks of fellow artist/producer/DJs like Steve Aoki, Benny Benassi, and Roxy Cottontail, Gordon has also inked a deal with SOL Republic headphones to become one of their "Saviors of Sound" brand ambassadors. "He brings with him an incredible sense of style and musical knowledge that reminds me of Djs/Producers twice his age. It is rare to find someone with such diverse and eclectic tastes that can somehow manage to bring them all together into perfect harmony," said David Ireland of SOL Republic.

Check for the Gordon Voidwell feature on Chiddy Bang's "Out 2 Space" from their upcoming debut album, Breakfast, due out February 28th on Parlophone America. Also be on the look out for new Voidwell remixes of Mayer Hawthorne, Das Racist, and Fort Lean tracks.

Voidwell will be wrapping up the month with a special live installation of MalcolmXXXMclaren on February 28th at the famed club SOBs in downtown Manhattan.

Gordon Voidwell Live Dates:
2/11: Mass MoCA, North Adams, MA
2/28: SOBs, Noisy Cricket Presents, NYC
