Chris Standring has unveiled his most ambitious venture to date - the unique interactive guitar learning method, Guitar Made Simple.
Designed for beginning guitarists and those intermediate players who want to freshen up their skills, this interactive platform allows students to study exclusively with Standring through the power of interactive media. Offered on CD via a web-based interface, the program presents video, audio, and tablature featuring elements never before revealed by Standring in any interview, instructional DVD, or publication.
For example, Standring's virtual classroom gives students direct access to a 'selective' interactive audio feature, which lets students click on an audio example performed on the guitar by Chris Standring. They can then hear the example with either the melody omitted or the rhythm omitted, allowing practice play along for either the melody or rhythm part.
When asked why he spent over a year of his precious time developing yet another guitar course, when a dearth of free guitar lessons abounds on the internet, Standring says.... 'Well, first of all, free guitar lessons are all well and good. But I see way too many websites, courses, methods and DVDs discussing particular aspects of the guitar that the student cannot fully absorb because in order to play this, one has to know that, and all too often that important knowledge is not discussed at all. In short, music instruction is just way too scattered. It's just not thorough enough.'
