Tomorrow is not guaranteed and in the eleventh hour when all could come crumbling down, the adrenaline kicks in and we revert primal instincts. Putting that emotion into words and using that scenario as inspiration, Smoke Signals is proud to premiere their new single, "Disappear."
Using real world experiences and emotions is something that Smoke Signals prides themselves on. Stepping out of the box on this track, Vocalist
George Rich shared more about the backstory, "It boils down to when pushed to their limits, humans lose all the superficial things that society has made humanity what it is now and revert back to instinct and fear.
Everything that is 'human' at this point disappears."
Many bands use different movies as influences in their songwriting and this track is no exception as Rich shared, "This song was heavily inspired from the Terminator series, more specifically the human perspective after "Skynet" takes over. It's a good metaphor for where we are as a society."
Smoke Signals is gearing up for a big year in 2019 as they look forward to releasing new music as they ending the year strong with the singles "
Letting Go" and "Disappear." The two tracks are just a glimpse of the diversity that fans will expect to see in the future from the band as they're not afraid to experiment with different genres all while staying true to themselves.
