BURBANK, CA. (Hollywood Records) - Hilary Duff's latest release, "Most Wanted," is in fact the most wanted CD in the country this week, debuting at No 1 and selling over 200,000 units in its first week. "Most Wanted" is Hilary's second No 1 album and first No 1 album debut, and the highest first week sales for any of her records. Hilary's third Hollywood Records CD features her hit single "Wake Up" and two other brand new songs recorded exclusively for "Most Wanted" as well as a collection of Hilary's most popular songs, completely remixed and remastered, including "So Yesterday," "Why Not," "Come Clean," and "Fly." The video for "Wake Up," directed by acclaimed industry icon Mark Webb, has already reached the No 1 spot on MTV's TRL. "Wake Up" has also been No 1 at Radio Disney, and is the music bed for Hilary's widespread Candie's campaign. Said Buena Vista Music Group Chairman Bob Cavallo, "We are delighted to announce another No 1 album for Hilary. She delivered us a great single with "Wake Up" which has reconfirmed her place as everyone's favorite No 1 teen star." Added Hilary Duff, "Wow, it's so surreal to have a No 1 debut and I feel honored to be on top of the Billboard charts with all this great competition. I want to thank all my fans and the people who worked so hard on this record." Andre Recke, who manages Hilary's music career, said, "It feels great when all the hard work and effort pays off with a No 1 debut. Hilary is a hard worker and she deserves being No 1." Hilary is currently headlining her US "Most Wanted" tour through September. On top of her thriving music career, Hilary is also an accomplished TV and movie actress, and designer and business woman. And with her busy schedule she still finds time for philanthropic activities. Most wanted indeed!
