Hit Songwriter Turned Artist Lauren Evans Sparks 80's Pat Benatar Revival
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Lauren Evans Official Website) Lauren Evans is no stranger to working with superstars. Her skills as a vocal phenom have been featured on projects with such greats as Chaka Khan, Yolanda Adams, Luther Vandross, Andrae Crouch and many others. Like Ramon "REO" Owen, music producer and CEO of The Sound Killers, has said, "It's not fair how effortlessly good she is". Today Lauren released the second song on her mixtape, giving tribute to Pat Benatar and her hit song, "We Belong".

Ironically Lauren has 2 other releases today. American Idol's Chris Rene and his debut album entitled, I'm Right Here- currently number 10 on the iTunes Pop Chart, and Faith Evans' R&B Divas album both contain songs written by Lauren Evans. Also, both Ms. Evans' Pat Benatar remake "We Belong" and "Mr. Supafly" on the R&B Divas album were both produced by famed producer Rykeyz.

The artistry and vocal prowess that has been demonstrated on the last couple of releases by Lauren Evans is a breath of fresh air from the monotony of recent commercial music. Like a butterfly, music has evolved and thankfully artists like Lauren Evans are emerging. If the 2 released songs from her mixtape are a taste of what to expect from her in the future, then lovers of music should be salivating at the mouth.
