New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Supremacy Records) - A wake will be held for the beloved dog "Bella" by Bella's owner, CalPOP bassist Danny Biondo. Bella, was the much beloved singing dog of CalPOP's bassist Danny Biondo who performed with Bella on Internet video singing "I Love You," an original song Danny and Bella wrote together.

The wake, which will be a good time blues hoedown, will be held on January 30, 2009 at 11:00 pm EST at TenEleven at 171 Ave. C. New York, NY 10009. Everyone's invited.

Video of Bella in action can be seen on MySpace.com at the following link: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=1178106

At the wake, Danny Biondo will be performing as singer for his side band "The Devil's Blues". "We're just gonna have a good old time- that's what Bella would have wanted," says Danny.

"I know Bella would have been really excited about the success of the CalPOP album, 'Best Record In The World' that just came out - but seeing as I'm in New York City right now and the rest of the guys are in Hollywood, I'm gonna have to rock this one myself! I'm doing this show for Bella," says Danny. "Bella wasn't the only dog who could sing 'I Love You' but he really meant it when he sang. He put his whole soul into it, from the tips of his ears to the pads on his feet. He really loved to sing. He was my best friend and I'm going to miss him."

A portion of the proceeds for both the show and CalPOP's album "Best Record In The World" will be given to help animal rescue efforts in the New York City area.

"Danny wasn't Bella's only friend!" says Lynn Tracy aka "Cruciface," singer of CalPOP. So far, download sales of CalPOP's hit debut album "Best Record in the World" have been brisk - CDs were sold out almost instantly, but you can still download Part 1 of the controversial CalPOP concept album at iTunes.com and many other top music download websites.

"It's out there if you look for it," says Stuart Casson, aka "Christmas Tree," guitarist for CalPOP. "Buy it for Bella."
