San Francisco, CA. (Top40 Charts/ INgrooves) - INgrooves, the leading digital distributor and label, has announced today the release of Songs For Tibet through The Art of Peace Foundation. More than a dozen of the world's top contemporary musical artists, including Sting, Dave Matthews, Alanis Morissette, John Mayer, Suzanne Vega, Rush, Imogen Heap, Garbage, Damien Rice, Moby, Underworld, Duncan Sheik and many more have been brought together to create an exclusive digital album of 20 songs.

The project is the artists' expression of peace and support for Tibet and the Dalai Lama, and will be launched before the Olympics open in Beijing, China. 'Songs for Tibet' will be available worldwide exclusively through iTunes and the Art of Peace website beginning August 5th, just prior to the Olympic opening ceremony. It will be made available on all other worldwide digital retail outlets and as a physical CD beginning August 12th.

Michael Wohl, the Executive Director of the Art of Peace Foundation said: "In an effort to express our support for the Tibetan people and their message of peace through music, we wanted to ensure that we could quickly distribute this profound album on a global digital scale. By partnering with INgrooves on digital distribution we now have the ability to focus the music world's attention on the importance of Tibet, the gifts of its culture, and the crisis the Tibetan people are facing today.'

'INgrooves jumped at the opportunity to work with the Art of Peace Foundation on this meaningful release promoting peace and unity,' commented Robb McDaniels, INgrooves President & CEO. 'The artists involved have donated the best examples of their craft to bring attention to this important cause and INgrooves is proud to play its part in this great album.'
