CHICAGO, IL. (Club 2X Records) - Indian pop artist Reggie Benjamin recently lent his support to the Kids of HOPE gala to raise funds for Tsunami Relief at The Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Benjamin performed his original song "Too Soon," which he wrote in dedication to those who lost their lives in the tsunami disaster. Benjamin's cousin, who was effected by the disaster, still remains at large. Entertainer John Tesh, whose family visited the region immediately following the disaster, also performed a touching tribute during the gala. Princess Bride star - Anne Hathaway was among the evening's highlights with her positive words of wisdom.

Chicago native, Reggie Benjamin, who records for Club 2X Records, is the first Indian pop artist to land on the Billboard charts. His impressive rise has been chronicled by E! Entertainment in a special featured program which names Benjamin as among the Top 10 most influential Indians living in America. Grammy-winning producer Maurice Joshua (Crazy In Love w/Beyonce and Jay-Z) along with Benjamin, composed and produced "Too Soon," which was inspired by a true story of a father watching his 8-year-old being swept away during the tsunami disaster.

The Kids of HOPE benefit proceeds will go to the Sambodhi Home in Galle, a shelter for physically and mentally disabled children and adults. Nearly half of the one hundred residents of the home died in the tsunami, drowning in their beds or swept away in the torrents of water that battered coastal Sri Lanka.
