LONDON, UK (JM Records/ www.johnmyers.co.uk) - Answer: John Myers.
Soul? Funk? Hip-hop? Rock? Jazz? Folk? This North London based singer and multi-instrumentalist of Irish parents isn't too bothered with the straitjacket imposed by such generic terminology.

Born in Camden Town 29 years ago, John Myers taught himself several instruments from an early age. Hearing the music of Scott Walker, Jimi Hendrix and the Modern Jazz Quartet played around the house was bound to have an effect on his future musical direction; he even liked AC/DC long before they became the favoured choice of Mondeo drivers.

Very early on, he realised an ambition of his to perform on 'Top Of The Pops', playing with Shane MacGowan And The Popes. This led to touring work that involved playing many prestigious venues and festivals worldwide such as The Forum, The House Of Blues (LA), The Point (Dublin), the Fleadh (UK/USA), Montreux Jazz Festival, Roskilde (Denmark) and Pinkpop (Holland). In addition, he could also be seen on TV shows such as 'Late Night With Conan O'Brien' (NBC) and 'The Late Late Show' (RTE) as well as heard on live radio sessions on Radio 1.

Featured on a wide array of recordings for acts such as Kylie Minogue and Mike Oldfield, he continues to contribute to other recording artists' releases and can be heard on an upcoming album by Pop! (BMG/Jive).

With a Top 30 single co-writing credit as well as a publishing deal with Bucks Music, he has performed solo at venues such as The Bedford and the Kashmir Klub. His debut release entitled "Introducing John Myers" is a superb three track EP on JM Records, presently available only at www.johnmyers.co.uk, where audio extracts can be heard. With an album to be released in late 2005, you can see him live at The Bedford, 77 Bedford Hill, London SW12 9HD on Monday 21st March 2005, performing at 10pm.
