Jen Elliot, Lucinda Headline Showcase at Manhattan's Red Lion

New York, NY (CITY CANYONS RECORDS) - Jen Elliott and Bluestruck performs songs from its hard-hitting new EP, "this damn song" at a rockin' evening on Tuesday, May 23 at New York's Red Lion as headliners for the 13th City Canyons Showcase. Also headlining the show with Jen will be indie superstar Lucinda. The performance at the Red Lion finishes a Jen Elliott and Bluestruck tour which has included among other dates, engagements in Albany NY, Syracuse NY, Watertown CT, and Manhattan. Other featured performers in the 13th City Canyons Showcase include the Knot Watkins Invitational Blues Band with guest host Jimmy Mac, progressive pop stylists R.i.p.e. and European pop diva, Eha. The Showcase kicks off at 7 p.m. The Red Lion is located at 151 Bleecker St in Manhattan.

Jen Elliott- who grew up in Jacksonville, FL but now lives in Manhattan- was raised on traditional gospel and she still writes and sings straight from her soul...but now it's rock n' roll that is her first love. Her debut album with her band Bluestruck, THE SECRET'S OUT, received Top 30 college radio airplay and critical acclaim from the press nationwide. Jen has been featured in issues of Entertainment Today, The Downtown Express, The Sun Herald, Inside Connection and Keyboard Magazine. To date, the band has performed at the Black Potatoe Festival 2005, NY Auto Show 2005, GoGirls Elite Showcase 2004, headlined at the Global Entertainment & Media Summits 2003/2004. Jen continually performs at top venues in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut and has opened for Nils Lofgren, The Little River Band, and Nine Days. Her fans eagerly await her new full album 8 DAYS DOWN, to be released this fall. Music fans can currently hear Jen on college and independent radio and podcasts throughout North America.
