Muse To Record New Album In September 2011
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) Muse's bassist Chris Wolstenholme has announced plans to begin recording their upcoming sixth album in September.

During an interview with BBC Radio 1, Wolstenholme confirmed that the group planned to clock some serious studio time in September and October to begin writing the album.

'We're always going to be the kind of band that want to get out and play live,' Wolstenholme said, referring to the recent addition to vocalist Matt Bellamy's family. 'As the years go on, there's that temptation to cut the touring down less and less but we still love playing live. I can't imagine that we'll cut down touring significantly.
I think by the time you've finished touring an album, which is usually a two-year cycle, it's something you start thinking about a lot.
It's difficult to bring new songs into the live set before you record them with the internet and dodgy recordings of live songs getting out there before they've been released on an album. People tend not to play new songs live anymore. That's why we want to get into the studio, make another album and then tour it."

Muse is scheduled to take the stage later this month at both the Reading and Leeds festivals. Other headlining acts include The Strokes and My Chemical Romance.
