Pop/Folk Artist Chris Hannigan Releases Debut EP "Lickety Split"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Chris Hannigan Official Website) Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania pop/folk artist Chris Hannigan is bringing a fresh take on what a great original sounding acoustic album should sound like with his debut EP "Lickety Split". This solo artist has comprised a fantastic release featuring six of his best tracks that were written over the past three years, yet recorded in a single late evening with producer/engineer Stan Kleja at Pittsburgh's Audible Images Recording Studio.

The album has character that is lacking in other genre related releases in that Chris has done straight takes with no overdubs, simply his guitar and vocals in their purity. This natural approach comes through on his record with a level of sincerity that has a deep calming effect of simplistic enjoyment to it. The albums lyrical content ranges from the track "Doing What I Love," a song about surfing in California and following your passions to more melancholy tones found in the songs "Rest In Peace" and "Keep To Myself." The album is extremely versatile along with the main constant of a genuine sense of quality and originality exuding along every minute of the EP.

"I wanted to keep things really simply and light in the studio. Some of the songs will show up with more production on forthcoming albums, but for now I wanted to get fans listening to the raw material. Besides, I've always loved the intimacy and honest of records that feature just acoustic guitar and vocals… think Nick Drake, Patty Griffin or even Eddie Vedder's recent uke record… that's pretty much what I was aiming for on this one" ~Chris Hannigan

Chris is currently offering his debut six song release "Lickety Split" via Bandcamp's "Pay What You Want" option. If fans so chose they may pick up the release in its entirety for free simply for entering their e-mail address. Chris will be exclusively offering this EP at the free price point to the first 1000 downloads, with a physical release to follow on the fourth of July. Fans of Paul Simon to Jack Johnson will certainly find this record enjoyable, but truthfully this release has a wide target market audience and will likely appeal to people of all ages. Chris is available for performance bookings and currently is taking interview requests from press/media outlets in regards to the release and/or upcoming tour dates via the appropriate contact info listed below. So grab the album Lickety Split, no pun intended!
