New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Prince was rushed to the hospital after his plane made an emergency landing on Friday, a representative for the singer confirmed to Access Hollywood. The plane made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois, where the singer was treated and released at a local hospital.
The Grammy Award-winning performer was transported to a hospital in Illinois after an ongoing case of flu which he'd already been battling for some time, worsened during mid-flight.
Eventually the legendary singer-songwriter was released and flew back home, where he is currently recovering. No further reports have since been issued.
Prince commenced his Piano and a Microphone solo tour in Australia on February 16.
His first show took place at Melbourne's State Theatre. He made a touching tribute that night after just hearing about the death of Denise Matthews, aka Vanity, his ex-girlfriend from the early �80s.
