Atlanta, GA (Arrow Records) - Sheridan Gospel Network will take its afternoon radio show 'The Praise Party' hosted by Ace Alexander to Barbados, British West Indies for 'The Biggest Praise Party of the Year' live at the Barbados Gospelfest, May 27. For the second consecutive year, Alexander who was recently named SGN's national music director will host the event which will feature for the first time Arrow recording artist Canton Jones. Having penned and performed Alexander's show theme song 'Praise Party Going On,' Jones is the likely headliner for the 'The Biggest Praise Party of the Year.' 'Love Song,' re-released on Jones' 2005 CD 'Password: Access Granted' is climbing the gospel charts with a surge of increased spins according to Radio and Records Magazine's gospel reports. SGN began promoting the event earlier this year conducting a national sing-off with the winner of the competition winning the Grand Prize trip to Barbados and a chance to perform at the event. Although SGN will broadcast live May 25-26, the duration of the gospelfest is from May 20-28. SGN is a division of the Sheridan Broadcasting Corporation. It's the nation's first African-American owned and operated 24-hour nationally syndicated inspirational music format and targets an audience of African-American adults 25-54, delivering the best mix of traditional and contemporary inspirational music, programming and strategic promotions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
