Houston, TX. (Top40 Charts/ Lifted Magazine) - Former Idol contestant, Sabrina Sloan, sits down with Lifted Magazine's Andrew Moreno to discuss her Idol journey, upcoming plans/events, relationships with fellow Idol contestants, dealing with Idol judges (Randy, Paula and Simon) and gives an open message to her fans.

In this rare interview, Sloan opens up about her past, speaking candidly about spirituality and perseverance. Sloan told us, "I feel very strongly that it was part of God's plan for me to be on the show. In everything I do, I trust He knows why things happen the way they do. I was able to go on the stage feeling confident that I was supposed to be there and share my talent."

An inspiration for aspiring actors and singers, Sabrina also describes how she dealt with the negativity and strong words of American Idol judges. "You have to go in prepared to hear some harsh criticism. At the very best, it's something you can seriously consider working on to improve yourself. At the worst, it's off base and you can respectfully take the criticism and disagree and just continue to do what you do best. I just wanted to come out on that stage each week and show America why I belonged on the show."

Idol fans can also gain a bit more insight about the Idol process/journey. For example, did you know the actual process from the first audition to singing in the Top 24 actually lasts between four and six months?

And read Sloan's words of encouragement for fellow Idol contestant, Sanjaya Malakar: "He's someone who I think genuinely appreciates everything he's experiencing being on American Idol. I don't know if he even knows how FAMOUS he is!"

"We are so thrilled to have the opportunity to feature this interview with Sabrina Sloan," said Tiffany Simpson, editor of Lifted Magazine. "She has so much positive energy and this interview is a wonderful look into her personality. Full of charisma and passion, Sabrina is an inspiration for people from so many different walks of life."
